Sleeve Gastrectomy without Private Health Insurance (Medicare item number 31575)

Total Fee $18,990* (after Medicare rebates)

Includes:

• Preoperative workup 
• Surgeon
• Anaesthetist
• Surgical Assistant
• Mater Private Hospital cost (up to three nights including one night in ICU if required)
• Follow-up care with Dr Samuel Baker and Bariatric Nurse

Sleeve Gastrectomy Management Fee with Private Health Insurance (Medicare item number  31575)

Includes:

• Preoperative workup 
• Surgeon
• Surgical Assistant
• Follow-up care with Dr Samuel Baker and Bariatric Nurse
• 12 months of follow up with a Dietitian on GP care plan

Additional fees to be expected:

• Initial Dietitian appointment $150 (may be claimable through GP care plan or Health Fund extras cover)
• Anaesthetist  $1800 - $2000 (partially rebated by Health Fund and Medicare)
• Hospital Excess (depending on your Health Fund)
• Pathology and Radiology if required (partially rebated by Health Fund and Medicare)
• Psychology  $180 (may be claimable through GP care plan or Health Fund extras cover)
• Endoscopy (hospital excess for Health Fund may apply) 

Bariatric Surgery with Private Health Insurance

Sleeve Gastrectomy Management Fee $7995 – With Private Health Insurance, Medicare item number - 31575 

Includes:

• Surgeon
• Surgical Assistant
• Follow-up care with Dr Sabin Warner-Smith
• Follow-up with Bariatric Dietitian on GP care plan
• Follow-up care with the Bariatric Physician for ten years

Additional Fees to be expected:

• Initial Dietitian appointment approximately $150 (claimable through health fund extras cover) depending on GP care plan
• Anaesthetist between $1800 - $2000
• Hospital Excess (depending on your insurance)
• Pathology and Radiology (if required)
